What to do, what to do????

This is where my dreams are kept... These are my ideas for the renovation. You'll have to go to the before and after pages to see whether I managed to hit them or not... I might have to update this as I go. We'll see!

Roofing: An expensive way to start

First up, the lid on our little Greek home! The roof isn't just about shelter, (although in this case, we really do need to keep the rain out) it's about following local rules and getting rid of dangerous materials. We're continuing to crunch the numbers to ensure our new roof is sturdy, stylish, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Because nobody wants a leaky renovation, right? We’re aiming for something that’ll last longer than our last bottle of ouzo.

Kitchen capers: Cooking up a storm

Ah, the heart of the home – and often the biggest chunk of the budget! Our kitchen plans are ambitious, rather than having a slick, modern kitchen , we are going for a rustic, traditional Greek kitchen. It’s a delicate dance, but we’re confident our new kitchen will be worth it. Let's see what we end up with!

Bathroom bliss: Splashing out (responsibly!)

From lukewarm showers to a spa-like retreat – our bathroom renovation is all about creating a little rustic oasis. We're investing in a clean line design that's both functional and fabulous. We’re keeping a close eye on the budget here, ensuring we get maximum splash for our cash. Both bathrooms in the house are small so we have to make every centimeter count! Hopefully it looks something like this in the end.

Windows: A pane-less process (mostly)

Bringing in the light and keeping out the cold / heat is what our new windows are all about. We'll be upgrading for energy efficiency, creating lighter rooms and bigger mountain views. It's definitely most important for comfort and design and we'll have to make sure we make the right financial decisions!
